The skidboard is placed parallel on the floor to the long (bass) side of piano. (Lid currently removed for maintenance and repairs.)

Subsequently, the pedal assembly is removed. Like the legs, it will be wrapped individually in its own bag or blankets.

After covering the piano with a large cloth or blankets, the leg closest to the skidboard is removed, pitching the piano to the front left.

The piano is tipped & aligned onto the skidboard where the remaining legs are removed and wrapped. Piano is secured to skidboard by belt straps for balance.

Side view of piano on skidboard. Bench is secured using belt strap. While on skidboard, the piano can be safely slide down stairs, through narrow doorways, and navigate tight landings in stairwells.

While on skidboard, piano is tipped up and placed on moving dolly. Piano can be rolled safely by 2 or 3 movers. Process is reversed for re-assembly.
